Shoshana Silverman Belisle, NBC-HWC

Hi! My name is Shoshana and I am an Integrative Wellness Coach at Mind Body Seven.

Building upon a lifelong passion for holistic health and wellness, I am committed to taking a whole-person, client-centered, and strengths- based approach to helping clients improve their holistic well-being, experience overall health and thriving, and successfully enjoy a connected, authentic, and purpose-driven life. As a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, I partner with clients to help them move toward goals related to health and well-being. In my role as a wellness coach, I do not diagnose mental health issues, create treatment plans or prescribe interventions to treat or heal mental health challenges. Rather, I provide support, empathy, and accountability as clients navigate their well life vision and formulate aligned goals and actions. These plans often include acting on the advice and recommendations from their clinicians. As a wellness coach, I am passionate about helping clients make sustainable lifestyle changes (i.e. movement, nutrition, sleep, stress management, etc.) for enhanced well-being, including mental and emotional well-being. I also draw upon my training as a certified yoga teacher to help clients minimize stress and feel more connected and comfortable in body, mind, and spirit.

I love being a lifelong learner. I am currently a Doctoral Candidate in Mind-Body Medicine at Saybrook University with a specialization in Integrative Mental Health. My current PhD dissertation research focuses on how National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coaches address their clients’ mental well-being while navigating the coaching scope of practice.

I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I have a Master’s in Social Work from New York University and a Master’s in Psychology from the Spirituality Mind-Body Institute at Columbia University Teachers College. I am also a Registered Yoga Teacher, trained at the Laughing Lotus College of Yoga. After becoming a certified health coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, I earned my credential as a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach in 2021. I have received additional coach training through Saybrook University, Wellcoaches, and Real Balance Global Wellness. While I am not currently a psychotherapist and do not serve in a clinical capacity, my approach as a wellness coach is informed by my previous experience as a psychotherapist and social worker. I believe in a team-based approach to well-being and am happy to partner with you and your clinical team as you build a comprehensive and holistic wellness solution.

I look forward to connecting with you and supporting you on your wellness journey!
